KZN SASSA working with police to tackle social grant fraud
Updated | By Gcinokuhle Malinga
KwaZulu-Natal's Social Security officials have teamed up with the police to catch SASSA card fraudsters.

The Agency said yesterday that it's frozen the accounts of 2800 beneficiaries, nationally, over potential fraudulent activity.
It's asked banks and the post office to stop making payments to those accounts.
SASSA's Mbizeni Mdlalose says legitimate beneficiaries in KZN won't be affected.
"Arrests are happening almost every week - we are working closely with SAPS and the NPA to ensure that there are more arrests. We have started the process of refunding those people who were defrauded their social grants money," Mdlalose said.
Meanwhile police are urging anyone with information on recent arrests in Pietermaritzburg to come forward.
