KZN Premier calls for tighter gun control measures

KZN Premier Nomusa Dube-Ncube has called for tighter gun control regulations.
She made the call at the launch of a festive season safety plan on Tuesday.

"We are pleased to report that with the conditional grant of R11 million from the provincial treasury, we are piloting the programs that we are going to be showcasing here of working with our communities,” the premier said.
Dube-Ncube said the provincial government has also intensified the fight against gender-based violence.
"We are going to be handing over 95 vehicles to the community police forums to assist with the mobile and the fight against crime.
"We are also handing over more than 2000 uniforms to the community police forums so that they are visible, and they are able to fight crime."
