KZN political violence: ANCWL wants new investigating team
Updated | By Steve Bhengu
The ANC Women's League's new provincial leadership says investigators from different parts of the country should be brought in to probe the murders of councillors in KwaZulu-Natal.
It is not happy with the investigations into these attacks.
The league's Nomagugu Simelane-Zulu says police from other provinces should be brought in just like in the 90s.
"In the1980s and 1990s when there was violence in this province, the national government and the ANC government took a decision that they will bring different people to come and assist detectives - from the Wstern Cape, and Gauteng. We also do not want to call them political killings as such because it means we are assuming that it is a political person killing another political person," she says.
Simelane-Zulu addressed reporters in Durban yesterday.
