KZN police probe murder of two rangers

Police in Durban are investigating the murder of two municipal rangers.
The pair were shot dead at the Silverglen Nature Reserve in Chatsworth yesterday.
eThekwini Municipality says the employees were in their patrol vehicle when they were sprayed with bullets.
The motive behind the killings is not yet known.

Mayor Mxolisi Kaunda has condemned the attack - and has urged members of the community to come forward with any information that might lead to the arrest of the killers.
"We condemn the ambush attack on our game rangers who were on duty patrolling the nature reserve."
Killings of this nature are not common in our natural resources and we
have instructed officials to intensify safety and security in all our nature
reserves” said
Kaunda.
The Mayor has conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the families of the
deceased.
