KZN police must ‘step up’ probe into Ulundi girls’ killing – MEC
Updated | By Gcinokuhle Malinga
KwaZulu-Natal Social Development MEC Nonhlanhla Khoza has called on police to intensify their investigation into the murders of two Ulundi children, after their stepfather's emerged as the prime suspect in the case.

The bodies of seven-year-old Sandakahle Manana and her 12-year-old sister Asimbonge Shongwe were discovered in separate places near northern KZN's KwaZondela area, over the weekend.
They were allegedly kidnapped by their stepfather last Thursday.
The department's Mhlabunzima Memela says it's alleged the stepfather and children's mother recently ended their relationship.
"We have noticed there is a trend in the province where children suffer all the time because the mother or father or stepparents have decided to end their relationship and one will come back and attack the children. It is very painful. The MEC has sent a team of social workers to the family.”
KZN police say no arrests have been made yet.
