KZN police issue stern warning to hoaxers after false bomb threat

KwaZulu-Natal police confirm that the bomb scare at a building in Durban housing a municipal department was a hoax.

KZN police spokesperson, Thembeka Mbele says a caller phoned the receptionist to say he had planted three bombs in the building.

"The bomb squad was also called out and evacuated the building. Upon the investigation, there was no bomb on the premises. The building has been given the all-clear, and the staff allowed back in the building."
Police have warned the public against making hoax calls saying those who do will face the full might of the law.
