Police investigate luxury vehicle, stolen items in fatal M13 shootout
Investigators say they are still to determine how five suspects involved in yesterday's dramatic police chase, shootout and subsequent crash on Fields Hill died.
Police also believe their investigation will shed more light on the spate of house robberies in the Upper Highway area, west of Durban.
One suspect survived after the luxury vehicle crashed down an embankment on Fields Hill.

The incident saw the M13 highway backed up for hours. Police now have their work cut out for them piecing together exactly what happened.
They will now have to determine whether the luxury SUV was stolen and, if so, from where and whether the vehicle is the same one described in other crimes in the area.
Police will also investigate where the TV sets, guns and jewellery among other items that were found inside the crashed vehicle were taken from.
