KZN pastor accused of raping over 13 children

The Social Development MEC Nonhlanhla Khoza has called for a heavy sentence for a pastor accused of the rape of more than 13 children in Nquthu, in northern KZN.
The man was arrested on Sunday after a boy complained to his mother about the alleged abuse in Luvisi Village.
He named 11 boys and two girls he says were assaulted by the 56-year-old reverend, who's said to have lured children as young as five-years-old to his home to watch cartoons.
The department's Mhlabunzima Memela says things took a sinister turn when the children were then made to watch pornographic videos.

Memela says the boy's mother went to the police after speaking to the other children.
"We have called the law enforcement agencies to work around the clock to ensure that as much as this pastor is arrested, they must dig deeper and ensure that he doesn't get bail and ensure that all other victims come forward.
"Because we don't believe that it is only 13 children who are currently reported, there might be more. But it appears that he started raping them and molesting some since the beginning of the year in 2021."
