KZN parents lament price hike in back-to-school goods

With schools across
the country set to reopen their doors within the next two weeks, parents are
flocking to malls for their back-to-school shopping.

Inland schools are set to reopen this coming Wednesday for the start of their academic year, while coastal schools are set to resume learning next week.
Newswatch spoke to some parents who shared their frustrations while shopping for their kids.
Parents say there's been a major increase in prices.

One woman said prices have gone up compared to last year, while a father said prices vary in different stores for stationary.
“But all in all I think in Durban, the positive thing is that we have many shops to choose from compared to rural areas."
