Updated | By Nushera Soodyal
Three KwaZulu-Natal Agriculture officials are in trouble after their boss caught them abusing state resources.

Director-General, Nonhlanhla Mkhize came across them yesterday on the N3 between Pietermaritzburg and Durban.
They were apparently driving contra-flow in a state vehicle and disrupted traffic.

Mkhize alerted police and the vehicle was impounded.
Spokesperson for the KZN Government, Lennox Mabaso says there'll be a probe.
"The Director-General Dr Nonhlanhla Mkhize has requested the head of the department involved where the officials are working to launch an internal disciplinary process."
"But, also a case of reckless and negligent driving will be investigated by the South African Police."
