KZN official on escaped lion: No 'reports of animals being killed, so far'
Updated | By Gcinokuhle Malinga
Ezemvelo officers and northern KZN rangers are trying to track down a lion that escaped from a local game reserve and was seen roaming the Dundee area.

The lion was spotted on Monday night. Musa Mntambo, who's with Ezemvelo KZN Wildlife, says there haven't been reports of missing livestock.
Mntambo says they believe it's the same lion that escaped from a private reserve in Vryheid last year.

"We haven't received any reports of animals being killed by the lion, so far. But maybe since people now are aware that there is a lion out there, we will start getting reports about the lion."
"We reply on the community living around Dundee to inform us if they spot the lion then we will go there and use our ways to catch it," he says.
