KZN NPA welcomes sentencing in former teacher's murder
Updated | By Nushera Soodyal
Prosecutors have welcomed the sentences handed down to three men convicted of the murder of former Southlands Secondary School principal - Gona Pillay.

"All accused got a term of life imprisonment for murder. They received thirteen years imprisonment for robbery. Accused 3 got an additional five years imprisonment for theft. We hope that a sentence of this nature will deter like-minded offenders," the NPA's Natasha Kara said.
Kara says the sentences were handed down in the Durban High Court yesterday.
63-year-old Pillay was stabbed to death at her home in Silverglen in 2017 - her husband Logie survived the attack.
Braveman Underhill and Fredboy Msomi posed as potential buyers of the couple's home and while being shown the property - attacked them.
