KZN logs over 3 000 new COVID-19 cases in 24 hrs

Two hundred and forty people have succumbed to coronavirus-related illnesses in South Africa in the past 24 hours.

Twenty-seven of those deaths occurred in KwaZulu-Natal, which has also seen an increase of over 3 000 new infections to 71 240.
The death toll in the country’s gone up to 7 497.

Eleven thousand three hundred and sixty-two new cases have pushed the COVID-19 tally to over 471 000.
More than 297 000 people have recovered from the virus - that figure’s risen to 32 483 in KZN.
