KZN Health Department devastated by Harding crash


The KZN Health Department has sent its condolences to the families of the 11 people killed in a crash near Harding in southern KZN yesterday.

The bakkie they had been travelling in overturned along the D1049 in the KwaMbotho area at around 4pm in the afternoon.


A 3-month-old baby and a 3-year-old toddler were among those killed in the crash.


The Health Department says seven other people were seriously hurt.


MEC Sibongiseni Dhlomo has instructed the Ugu District Health Management to provide counselling for all those who responded to the scene.


Dhlomo says the ordeal would have been a traumatising one for emergency services.


He said in a statement yesterday that he's been left devastated by the crash
