Premier Nomusa Dube-Ncube says they have mobilised resources to provide emergency relief to the residents of a Durban informal settlement who've been left homeless by a fire.
Friday's blaze in Clairwood destroyed about 250 dwellings.
Dube-Ncube went to the settlement in the south of Durban on Monday to see the damage first-hand.
"We now have the list of the affected community members, and we have started with interventions from this morning, especially those who need IDs.

"We need to make sure that people have their Identity documents because, without them, we will not be able to give the necessary support."
Dube-Ncube says they are working on finding land where the community can be relocated to.
She also urged landowners to secure their land to avoid illegal occupations.
"Obviously, we cannot build them here anymore because this is a privately owned land. but it’s not a land where people should be staying. There are no services here, and we cannot give services as well because this is a privately-owned land."
