Nomusa Dube-Ncube says they're following up with police on several other
culpable homicide cases from December that are linked to road crashes on the N2
in oPhongolo.

The northern KZN town has been in the spotlight following last month's head-on collision that killed 20 people, 18 were children.
It involved a truck and bakkie that was carrying primary school pupils.
A multi-disciplinary law enforcement operation was conducted in the area on Friday.

Dube-Ncube and the Transport MEC also met with the victims' families to explain what is being done to avoid a repeat of the tragedy.
"We also held a meeting with the various stakeholders including the truck owners, truck drivers, amakhosi as well as the chairpersons of the traditional leaderships with a view of explaining the measures that are being put in place by the government to alleviate the problems our people are facing along that route."
