KZN Floods: Search continues for two people swept away by floods in January

COGTA in KZN says two people who were
swept away by localised flooding two months ago from the uThukela Bridge
between Kranskop and Nkandla remain missing.
Twelve people have lost their lives in the province in since January this year due to the devastating impact of heavy rains.
Meanwhile COGTA has revealed that the damage caused amounts to over a billion rand.
MEC for Cooperative Governance Sipho Hlomuka says the search for those missing will continue.
“When this incident took place, search and rescue teams from our department were duly activated,” Hlomuka said.
“They visited the team but could not commence with the search efforts immediately. We are going to resume the rescue,” Hlomuka added.
