KZN family massacre 'senseless': uMvoti Mayor

A KZN community is shocked and horrified following a family massacre near Greytown.
Six children - aged between two and 16 - and two women from the Sibiya family were shot at before their homes were set on fire in the Matimatolo area.
uMvoti Municipality Mayor, Thami Ngubane says a one-year-old was the sole survivor of the attack.
"We have said as leadership, let us characterise this incident as merciless, senseless and a barbarous massacre," he said.

Ngubane says there have been no arrests but police visibility has been increased.
"A provincial team has been assembled and dispersed to uMvoti Municipality with the intention of apprehending the perpetrators," he said.
