KZN Education offers support to pupil in viral video

A KwaZulu-Natal schoolgirl who was left screaming after being caned by her teacher will receive all the assistance she needs to recover.
The KZN Education Department's Kwazi Mthethwa says their investigation into the incident is still underway.
"We are going to try and facilitate that she goes for a medical examination and then offer her professional therapy in the form of counselling," he said.

The teacher who was filmed hitting the girl at Umdlamfe Secondary School near Richards Bay was suspended this week, pending the outcome of the probe.
In the clip, two girls are caned.
The teacher is seen pushing the second child and pulling her jersey off before continuing to whip whip her.
