KZN Education heads to Durban school amid harassment allegations
Updated | By Nushera Soodyal
The MEC and education officials are heading to a school in Umbilo this morning, after a string of complaints against the principal.
He's been accused of sexual harassment and intimidation.
The department's Muzi Mahlambi says there are allegations that he harassed staff members and threatened to kill them if they spoke out.
Mahlambi says five teachers contacted them on Friday.
"The matter is receiving our attention at the highest level of the MEC. He is going to be visiting the school. We will be pre-empting the action the department is going to be taking. We have not concluded the investigation. Remember that we started on Friday."
