Education officials call for calm at KZN school
Updated | By Sandile Zikhali
The KZN Department of Education is pleading with communities to respect the outcomes of any investigations involving teachers or school management.

The comment comes after some parents are allegedly against the reinstatement of the principal at Utrecht Primary School in northern KZN. The principal had been placed on suspension in September last year pending the outcome of investigations into allegations of mal-administration - among others things at the facility.
He was expected to return to work last week but this has been delayed.
Education's Muzi Mahlambi says thorough investigations are always conducted when such incidents arise.
"We are appealing to the parents to accept the principal back because it would be very difficult to replace him", he said.
"Should we clear someone that is that but should we find fault we institute disciplinary processes", Mahlambi said.
