KZN Edu clears school caterer of rotten food claims

A school caterer has been cleared after claims were made that pupils at a Pinetown school were being fed rotten food.

KZN's Education Department launched a probe led by the Director of School Nutrition.
Spokesperson Muzi Mahlambi says the allegations turned out to be false.

"When we received pictures through social media we dispatched the director responsible for school nutrition. We went together with a qualified dietician to the school."
They interviewed all structures, including learners. they went to the kitchen where the food is prepared and they were satisfied with what was going on at the school."
