KZN SAPS spokesperson, Jay Naicker says Transnet officials have positively identified the items.

"Staff at the premises were questioned, and it was discovered that the seller had used fraudulent documentation to sell the item to them. A total of 181 tons of Transnet infrastructure was seized by police."

"Further investigation led police to the owners of a scrapyard located in Greytown, where two suspects aged 31 and 59 were arrested."
