KZN disaster teams on standby as more rain, snow expected

Local government officials say they are keeping an eye on weather conditions in the province - withdisaster response teams ready to provide help should it be needed.

Rain and snow have been falling in different parts of KZN.
Co-operative Governance spokesperson, Msawakhe Mayisela there have been no serious incidents.
The South African Weather Services say snowfall and strong winds will be experienced throughout the weekend.
"We are expecting some strong, gale force winds along our coast coming through from this afternoon from the south coast. The snowthat has fallen is expected to become disruptive. During the course of the day, the snow will accumulate.
"There might be a possibility that roads will be closed," forecaster, Thandiwe Gumede said.
