KZN DA requests security meeting with Crime Intel
Updated | By Bernadette Wolhuter
The DA in KZN have in writing requested a meeting with the head of Crime Intelligence in the province to discuss security issues - including the discovery of several devices in and around Durban recently.
The party's provincial leader, Zwakele Mncwango says these incidents - as well as the fatal knife attack and the subsequent discovery of a device at a Verulam mosque - raise questions about the state of our intelligence.
Mncwango feels such threats could impact the province's economy.
"It's going to scare investors if our province is under serious threat. So we are concerned about these potential threats - and how they impact on investment and the economy of this province," he said.
