KZN cops nab suspects in numerous drug crackdowns

Authorities are continuing to crack down on drugs and illegal weapons in the province.
Police arrested three women and a man in Port Shepstone yesterday morning - after marijuana was found in their vehicle.
SAPS spokesperson, Thulani Zwane, says they were stopped on the R102.

"The four will be charged for possession of drugs and will appear on Monday in the Port Shepstone Magistrate's Court," he said.
Meanwhile, a man was arrested for allegedly manufacturing the drug ecstasy in his flat in Durban’s Point area.
"The members proceeded to the flat, and when that was searched, they found a lot of drugs - as well as Mandrax tablets. The suspects have been arrested and charged accordingly," he said.

Officers also arrested a man near Ilembe on the north coast, on Friday.
He faces charges linked to the possession of an unlicensed rifle and ammunition.
