Two nabbed for unlicensed firearms in Msinga

KwaZulu-Natal police have removed five unlicensed firearms from the streets following a nine-hour operation in the Msinga area, north of Greytown.
The recovered firearms are a .38 revolver, two .22 assault rifles, R4 assault rifle and a pistol.
A total of 90 live rounds of ammunition were also seized.
Three of the five recovered firearms were found abandoned, while the other two were found in possession of the suspects.
Officers arrested two suspects in the operation which ended in the early hours of this morning.
They face charges of being in possession of unlicensed firearms and ammunition and are expected to appear in the Msinga Magistrate's Court today.
Police say they will continue to seize illegal firearms during the festive season.
