Updated | By Jarryd Subroyen
One of the two suspected robbers killed in a shootout with police in Kranskop was wanted in connection with the murder of a Gauteng officer earlier this year.

Spokesperson, Thulani Zwane says a bakkie with 12 occupants was intercepted yesterday following a tip-off about a group that robbed teachers of a local school of cash and their cellphones on Saturday.
Zwane says the suspects shot at police while trying to flee towards Maphumulo.

These suspects are also wanted for a number of [crimes] in the area including business robbery and house robberies in the area," he says.
