Khanyile expelled from EFF, denies trial delay tactics
Alleged unrest instigator and former Fees Must Fall activist Bonginkosi Khanyile says he has been expelled from the Economic Freedom Fighters.
"They chased me out. They never gave me a reason. I never sat in a disciplinary hearing. I was expelled from the party, but in them, expelling me, I think, was a blessing in disguise. Look at me now."
Khanyile says he's now joined the Patriotic Alliance.
His trial over incitement charges was postponed in Durban on Monday after he decided to expand his defence team.

Khanyile was arrested in September for alleged incitement to commit public violence during the unrest.
More than 300 people were left dead during the riots and week-long looting of businesses in KZN and Gauteng.
The court heard that Khanyile's lawyer had only just received a document from the State.

Outside court, Khanyile told reporters he wasn't trying to delay the case.
"I do not have any interest of running away from this trial. What make me to have no fear in my heart is primarily and fundamentally because I am an innocent man.
"I never took a refrigerator, I never burn a mall, I have never stolen anything."
