JUST IN: Eskom suspends loadshedding
Updated | By Newswatch
Eskom has confirmed that loadshedding has been suspended from 11pm tonight.
The power utility’s Sikonathi Mantshantsha says the generation capacity has improved following the return of the generation units, each at Kusile, Kriel and Thuthuka power stations.
Two more units are expected to be repaired and up and running by tomorrow.

While loadshedding has been cancelled, Eskom asks the public to use electricity sparingly – as the system is vulnerable and unpredictable.
The utility currently has 4 920MW on planned maintenance, while another 13 897MW of capacity is unavailable due to unplanned maintenance, breakdowns and outage delays.
