JUST IN: Arrests in fatal N2 bridge boulder incident
Updated | By ECR Newswatch
There's been a breakthrough in rock-throwing incidents.
Three suspects have been taken into custody in connection with an incident in late December in which two siblings were killed when a boulder was thrown off an N2 bridge near Tongaat onto the car they were travelling in.
Sixteen-year-old, Amina Haffejee and her seven-year-old brother, Abdur Raheem, had been driving to KwaDuduza with their parents when the boulder crashed through the windscreen - killing the two children.
Police say the suspects - aged between 20 and 46 - face two counts of murder and attempted murder.
