Inside the store, shattered glass can be seen everywhere.

Employees at shop’s close by, say they heard a big bang and the sound of glass shattering.

Moments later, they saw suspects running out of the mall’s entrance 5.

According to Reaction Unit South Africa, shots were fired, and suspects made off with jewellery and other items.

This is the second robbery at a jewellery store at the mall in the space of three months.

Last November, armed robbers stormed another store and made off with several items.

Gateway confirms that a robbery took place at the centre at approximately 8.35 am.
