Johan Booysen will take the hotseat before the Zondo Commission at 10 o' clock this morning.  Booysen has previously said he'll expose the roles of NPA senior officials - including KZN DPP Moipone Noko - in capturing the country's prosecutorial body.

His testimony comes a day after Robert McBride - the former head of the Independent Police Investigative Directorate - wrapped up his version of controversial events that had unfolded under his watch.

On the last day of his testimony, McBride told the Commission yesterday, that police corruption is so rife - that former police minister, Nathi Nhleko, hired a man convicted of having a fraudulent ID - as his Chief of Staff.

"He recently appeared in court on the 31st of March, 2019 for having false documentation or qualifications in the KZN court. But he was hired by Minister Nhleko as chief of Staff. He did not have security clearance. In fact, they applied through Ipid as if he was going to be appointed by Ipid to obtain security clearance. He has a conviction and it relates to dishonesty. He has financial problems. They did not pick up that he was a Zimbabwean. Why would a minister of police hire a convicted criminal who is not a South African - and still flashing counterfeit identity document?"
