It's oFishial: Sardines spotted in EC waters, expected in KZN soon
Updated | By Natarah Nadesan
If all goes swimmingly well, the sardines could arrive on KwaZulu-Natal's shores between early June and late July.

A team from the KZN Sharks Board flew to the Eastern Cape after it received reports of sardine activity there.
The board says Tuesday's flight was quite eventful with small pilot shoals of sardines spotted near Mdumbi.
There was a lot of activity between Chintsa and Gonubi.

The Sharks Board says hundreds of Cape gannets were seen spread out in this area with a few diving from time to time, accompanied by hundreds of dolphins.
A few humpback whales were also spotted moving northwards.
The team's hoping to fly out again in two weeks' time.
