Isipingo hijacking claims life as neigbour passes away

A man who was shot in Isipingo during a hijacking on Thursday morning has passed away.
KwaZulu-Natal police spokesperson Nqobile Gwala has confirmed the man died on his way to hospital.
The 49-year-old was shot in the head when he rushed to help a neighbour who was being attacked while parking her car at her home on Inwabi Road.

"She was accosted by two armed men who demanded car keys. She screamed for help and her 49-year-old neighbour ran outside to investigate what was happening.
"The suspect noticed that the neighbour was in possession of a firearm and shot him on the head. They took his firearm and sped off in the complainant's vehicle."
Cases of murder, theft and carjacking are being investigated.
