Ironman: These are your Durban road closures on Sunday
Updated | By Andrew Robertson
Motorists are being urged to plan their trips ahead of time with the Ironman 70.3 Durban race taking place on Sunday.
The event will see several road closures from 5am until 2:30pm.
One of those routes will be the M4 Ruth First Highway, which will be closed from the Umdloti interchange to Sandile Thusi Road (Argyle Road).
Metro police spokesperson Parboo Sewpersad says the event will comply with all Covid-19 regulations.

"The organisers have indicated that there will be no spectators en route. Metro police will be enforcing compliance.”
But motorists need to take note of possible traffic delays and congestion.
"Alternative routes are the N2, Umhlanga Rocks Drive, Northway Road [Kenneth Kaunda Road], and the western freeway into Durban or Umgeni Road."
