Two killed in horrific Durban crash, heavy afternoon delays expected

Two people have been killed in a multiple-vehicle collision on the N2 in Durban.
Two trucks and three vans were involved in the crash near Sea View on Friday afternoon
ALS Paramedic's Garrith Jamieson said: "Paramedics finally arrived on scene after multiple people had blocked all accesses of the emergency lane and fast lane.
"Unfortunately, two people have passed away and declared deceased by paramedics on the scene. Three other people have sustained serious injuries and are currently being stabilised by advanced life support paramedics.
"The N2 southbound is an absolute no-go zone. The N2 Southbound is completely gridlocked and has been closed."

Metro Police spokesperson, Parboo Sewpersad says they have closed the road.
"The N2 southbound is closed off at M7 interchange. The roadway will be closed for some time. Salvage operations has not been done.
"Motorists are urged to use alternate routes to approach the M7.
"The M7 is already heavily congested. Motorists are urged to take alternate routes for the M7 on the Southbound carriageway."
