The Moerane Commission of Inquiry into politically-motivated murders in KZN resumes its public hearings today.
This week's sitting will take place at the Moses Mabhida building in Pietermaritzburg.
The Independent Police Investigative Directorate, officials from the Umzimkhulu Municipality, as well as representatives from the National Freedom Party are expected to testify.
Umzimkhulu has been particularly hardest-hit by violence with a number of politicians killed there in recent months, among them councillor and former ANC Youth League secretary general, Sindiso Magaqa.
