Minister Bheki Cele says investigators are following-up on a number of leads as
they try to track down those responsible for the murders of a warrant officer
and his family on the south coast.
Rodger Mavundla, his fiancé Khanyisile Mthulisi, and their children Siyamthanda Mthulisi and Thando Mavundla were gunned down a few metres away from their Port Edward home.
"We hope soon we find out why and who so we can give an explanation to the family,” the minister said on Tuesday.
Cele and the police management team visited the officer's family.

A seven-year-old girl, who was the sole survivor of Saturday's attack, is fighting for her life in the hospital.
"We not calling the police to be pushed around by the criminals and we are not calling the police, that we are producing at high-costing colleges, for them to come and fill the graves around her,” Cele added.
“If anything threatens their life they must be there to respond and respond decisively."
