The well-known Sodwana Bay captain and a passenger haven't been seen since the weekend when Matambu's burnt-out ski boat was discovered on a beach in the Dobela area.

News24 reports that the investigation into their mysterious disappearance has also turned to the unidentified passenger, who reportedly chartered the boat with a terminal illness claim.

The NSRI previously said that foul play may be involved, based on the circumstances.
