Inanda family still waiting to find relatives killed in floods

eThekwini Municipality says while it's traumatic for an Inanda family to have been waiting for over a year to find their relatives who disappeared during last year's floods, DNA processing takes time.
The Mdlalose family lost ten of its members during the disaster.

They were able to lay to rest six of them, matriarch Slindile Mdlalose and her grandchildren Uyanda, Lubanzi, Ziyanda, Asanele and Lulama.
The family is waiting for test results on the four missing relatives.
The city's spokesperson Lindiwe Khuzwayo says more psychological support will be provided for the family.

"Municipal officials have made contact with the Mdlalose family. A social worker visited the family last week to offer psycho-social support and a visit by psychologists is planned for this week."
