IFP leader says party's image is not tarnished
Updated | By Steve Bhengu
The letter, believed to be penned by Xolani Ndlovu gives reasons why the NFP missed its IEC deadline leading to the party's disqualification from the upcoming elections.
Among the revelations are that Ndlovu allegedly received death threats over the NFP's candidate list and that he had been preoccupied with the manifesto launch.
The author goes on to say the IFP had no role in the NFP missing the deadline.
The IFP's Mangosuthu Buthelezi feels allegations of foul play against them have not tarnished their image.
"I don't see any tarnishing. I don't see that we are tarnished in any way.
"I mean the fact that they were late in submitting money, that's the thing, just as we suffered the same thing in 2011. Its rubbish to say that the IFP is tarnished," he said.
