IFP wants Ladysmith Hospital management held responsible for assault
Updated | By Steve Bhengu
The Inkatha Freedom Party is calling for heads to roll at Ladysmith Hospital in the wake of an assault on a 13-year-old boy.
Two guards, who were captured on camera beating a patient in a ward last week, have since been sacked.
The boy has since been moved to a healthcare facility in Durban.

The party's spokesperson for health in KZN, Ncamisile Nkwanyana, says hospital management must also be held responsible.
"We have been waiting for a call or a response from the Department of Health about the nurses because nurses took an oath when taking this work.
"If now they are involved in assaulting patients, it becomes a mystery, so we are still waiting for the MEC to hear about the dismissal committee of the nurses."
