IFP: Killers of Amajuba speaker must 'face full might of the law'

Mhlonishwa Sokhulu, 43, and Sbusiso Chocolo, 29, made their second appearance in the Newcastle Magistrates' Court on Monday.

The men, who were arrested last week, face charges in connection with Ndima's murder.

He was gunned down outside his home in Newcastle last month.

The National Prosecution Authority says the matter's been postponed to Monday.

Until then, the court will verify the addresses of the accused.

The IFP has said in a statement that the party was devastated to learn of the councillor's killing.

National spokesperson, Mkhuleko Hlengwa says they can already see the wheels of justice turning and trust that - if convicted - the perpetrators will face the full might of the law.

"We, therefore, welcome the news that two suspects charged with Cllr Ndima's murder appeared in the Newcastle Magistrates' Court last week. As the IFP, we trust that the wheels of justice will turn swiftly, and that if found guilty, the suspects will face the full weight of the law.
