Bail application for two accused of killing Amajuba speaker Reginald Ndima

Two men arrested in connection with the murder of an Inkatha Freedom Party councillor and Amajuba speaker in KZN are set to line up in court on Monday for their bail hearing.

Reginald Ndima was shot and killed in the driveway of his home in Newcastle last month.
He was serving as the speaker of the Amajuba District municipality.
Police spokesperson Athlenda Mathe says the suspects have already appeared before a Newcastle Magistrate’s Court.

"Mhlonishwa Sokhulu and Sibusiso Chocholo have already appeared before the Newcastle Magistrate's Court where they have been remanded in custody for a formal bail application that will be heard on Monday, 14 February 2022.
"The National Commissioner of the SAPS, General Khehla John Sitole, has applauded the team for the timeous response in apprehending those who are believed to be behind the murder of the late speaker."
