Updated | By Sandile Bhengu
The Inkatha Freedom Party in KZN has called on the police to launch their 72-hour activation plan to track down the killers of traditional leader Dumisani Khumalo.
Khumalo, who was also the chief advisor to Zulu King Misuzulu KaZwelithini, was gunned down on Saturday night.
He'd attended the Royal Reed Dance ceremony at eNyokeni Palace in Nongoma.
Party chairperson, Thami Ntuli says they're calling on Police Minister Bheki Cele to set up a task form to investigate political and high-profile killings in KZN.

"We have seen previously when police were attacked, the minister did so and we saw the results. We are quite worried that KwaZulu-Natal is getting more unsafe now.
"Amakhosi are killed, councillors and even municipal officials. We think something ought to be done by the South African police.”
