KwaZulu-Natal police have launched a manhunt for a child kidnapper and murderer after the body of a six-year-old girl was found in Inanda Dam.

KwaZulu-Natal police have launched a manhunt for a child kidnapper and murderer after the body of a six-year-old girl was found in Inanda Dam.
The SAPS says the child and her eight-year-old sister were reported missing after they went to play outside their home on Tuesday.
Neighbours say the older sibling who arrived on their doorstep the next day, had suffered bruises to her body and was not wearing any clothes.

KZN police spokesperson Nqobile Gwala says the child told them that her younger sister had been strangled by a man.
"Police divers from Durban Search and Rescue together with other role-players [were called out to] Inanda Dam where the body of the little girl was recovered and a case of murder was opened for investigation at Inanda SAPS.
"We are appealing to anyone who might come forward with information that can lead to the arrest of the suspect to contact their local police or our crime stop number."
Gwala says the little girl is receiving counselling.
"The investigative team they are still busy with the family as well as the victim, trying to give all of the support."
