Holidaymakers flock to KZN for Easter weekend

A whopping R2.5 billion is expected during this Easter period for the KwaZulu Natal tourism industry.
The Economic Development and Tourism department says over 600 000 holidaymakers are coasting in the province.

Spokesperson, Ndabezinhle Sibiya says domestic travellers account for 548 000 trips and international visitors account for about 52 000 trips.
“This follows a good festive season in which provincial occupancy rates picked at 77.2%, with holiday makers providing an economic boost of 3.38 Billion."
