Health Minister Joe
Phaahla says pregnant and breastfeeding women, children and adolescents will
come into sharp focus under HIV prevention efforts.
He's reiterated South Africa's commitment to the Global Alliance goal to end AIDS in children by 2030.
Phaahla was speaking at the National AIDS Conference in Durban on Tuesday.
"Another important project which is underway is a treatment literacy framework. It aims to improve treatment endurance, eliminate stigma and prejudice so that we can encourage health-seeking behaviour and also increase treatment uptake and remaining on sustaining treatment," he said.
Phaahla said it's important that people on antiretroviral treatment live a healthy life.
