Hillcrest school children treated for gas exposure

Emergency services were called to a primary school in Hillcrest where nearly a dozen pupils have inhaled a gas.

KZN EMS's Robert Mckenzie says the children who are aged between 10 and 12, experienced respiratory difficulties.
He says four of the children are in a serious condition while the others are stable.

"Paramedics for KZN medical services responded to the school in Hillcrest and treated some of the learners at the school as well as a nearby clinic before transporting 10 learners to hospital for continued medical care," he said.
